Or at least as high up as it's going to get. This photo was taken on Anna Maria Island near Holmes Beach. You will never find waves going any higher than you see here, unless an unfortunate hurricane enters the Gulf of Mexico (April 2007).
I needed to share a "warm" photo like this as we just experienced a fairly large snow storm yesterday where we received about 15" in a 10-hour period (8AM-6PM).
It really is a warm exciting fun shot. The colors are great especially the sea.

I really like the color of the water... That doesn't span the Gulf... in some places it's very murky and ugly...

Wow! this is a super shot, the colours and composition are wonderful. 15" of snow, Wow! hope your keeping warm, it gives me the chills just thinking of all that snow.
