Sad reason for this to be this way, but good photo. I have some post-Katrina shots that look a lot like yours. It's sad to see a person's whole life story crushed and broken, strewn all about the ground.

Your photo is one of those marvelous time capsules with as many layers as an onion. It reminds me of the capriciousness of disasters - leaving a child's pencil and math problem yet destroying a home. It reminds me of the fragility of life - how quickly it can change and [thank goodness not in this case] sometimes be gone. It reminds me of the futility of assessing our treasure in terms of "things" instead of in terms of life and love. Great picture!
