Photo Friday: Surreal

Posted by Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 7 March 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Within a matter of minutes all of the leaves fell from the Ginko Biloba tree in my front yard. It was a weird look seeing the leaves fall like raindrops and how the leaves seemed to create this blanket on the lawn and street; particularly when you saw that no leaves were blown or run over by passing cars. I thought it was a fluke of nature until I witnessed it again in 2007. Both times were mid-day and what seemed to be the season's first frost. This photo is a bit blurry in the center as a result of trying to stitch together two photos to show more of a panoramic capture.

Each week Photo Friday posts a photo assignment. The mission is the creative interpretation of the week's theme. When done, you post the picture you took to your website and submit your link to Photo Friday.

Photo Friday is about challenging participants to be original and creative within the constraints of the week's theme. It's not a competition. Anyone with a camera and a place on the internet to post pictures can participate.
