My first try at HDR processing using trial version of Photomatix Pro 2.5. This is also my first photo from my new Canon PowerShot A630.
It's excellent! Beautiful shot.

I'm out of the loop on understanding the term, but that is a beautiful picture of a beautifully-kept old house.

I like HDR but used sparingly. I tend to think the sky a little over-saturated and the effect a little too illustration-like for my taste. Although the composition and colors of the house are excellent. But it really is all about what you prefer and you can make it as surreal and illustration-like or realistic as you like by playing around with the sliders. I tend to like HDR when it is just on the edge, when you can't really tell if the pic is HDR or not. By the way, my house pic from today is HDR.

Nice shot but it would probably be better without the HDR.

Steven, this is a brilliant piece of work in HDR, I wouldn't know where to start! Bravo.

I find this magnificent! Great capture of this grand old house. The HDR emphasizes it's beauty. I really admire old places that have been restored or well kept such as this one. I would (sell) or present them with a print. The sky is deep but I have taken shots with the sky as deep without HDR. Also I downloaded the trial version of Photomatix late one night and experiemented with it a little. This inspires me to make time and return to the program and see what I come up with. I really like HDR.
