Phlox Stolonifera

Posted by Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 10 July 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Phlox Stolonifera, commonly known as Creeping Phlox, is a ground-covering evergreen woodlander with paddle-shaped leaves that form 1-2" mats in moist, acid soils. Tiny flowers cover the plant in dense clusters in Spring. It makes a beautiful flowering ground cover. Photo taken in my perennial garden on May 23, 2009.
