What's in a Name?Posted by Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 12 October 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. A view up what used to be the world's tallest building, the Sears Tower. Or is it Willis Tower? This past summer, the naming rights were transferred to the company who holds the largest tenant space in the Tower. It has since acquired the nickname, "Big Willie." But I will always call it the Sears Tower. Some statistics about the Sears Tower: 2,000 construction workers Photo taken September 25, 2009.
