Dubbed Chicago's Financial District due to the many financial institutions present, LaSalle Street has a dominating presence with the towering buildings that line the street. The street leads to a "T" where Jackson Boulevard crosses and the Chicago Board of Trade Building greets you. The Chicago Board of trade Building is an Art Deco skyscraper with a pinnacle statue of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and grain. It was Chicago's tallest building from 1930 to 1965.
