Honey locust trees showcase their autumnal gold color as spotted along the median of Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. It makes one wonder where this Chicago neighborhood (The Gold Coast) actually got its name. As it turns out, it has nothing to do with the autumnal beauty, but the wealth of the neighborhood's residents. Gold Coast ranks as one of the richest urban neighborhoods in America with a median household income of approximately $160,000.
