Interesting. We both posted a shot of an empty lifeguard chair today.

To add to my previous comment, I notice what appear to be abandoned buildings behind the beach area, which add to the end of season feeling of this image.

very deserted indeed! a bit sad -- but really just a cycling of seasons...! a very cool lifeguard seat here -- never seen one like this! is this a lake by the way? not a true ocean beach? you have me intrigued!! :)

@dj.tigersprout: No this is a true lake beach. No shark attacks to worry about. ;-)

Like it. I recently posted the local pool closure...called Don't Fence Me Out.

At least in my region this was again a wet, dark and cool summer. Maybe next time! The empty seat seems to tell this to us too. :)

I thought it was a 'family chair' :-0 Very good end-of-season scene.

@Observing: I love that "family chair" characterization. I tried out the chair myself and another person could have sat next to me, with a few more on the levels below. Just need to make sure it's not "top heavy." :-)

It makes me cry just to think about it. Great capture.

A fine crisp image, Steven. I like the sand still on the steps from the lifeguard's feet.
