Throw It and They Shall Come

Posted by
Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 4 February 2010 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

I finally remembered to bring down a loaf of sweet wheat bread that just about hit its expire date and instead of throwing it away, I thought I would entice some seagulls on the lakefront. It didn't take long before it turned into a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "The Birds."

Photo taken January 24, 2010.

Une très grande sensation de liberté en regardant cette photo, quelle envergure a cet oiseau (Mouette ou Goëland). Magnifique photo de l'oiseau en plein vol, bravo

The light through the feathers is fantastic. It really gives definition where normally one might just see darker tones. Even the tinier feathers on the side of the head are discernible. This is easily one of the best bird views I've seen. A pretty 5.
