The "Other" Sunrise

Posted by
Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 19 February 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Another capture of last Saturday's morning sunrise over Lake Michigan. I debated previously whether to go with a portrait view or a landscape view (like this one) of the sunrise. I first went with the portrait view as I liked how dramatic it made the reflection off the lake.

This one I perhaps like equally as much now that I see this capture has the sun completely revealed rather than partially obstructed in the previous capture.

Photo taken February 13, 2010.

I like seeing the progression of one sun to the more risen sun but I have to say the first one, with the way the sun was cresting, the way it had a halo over it is a bit better. Still, both of them are absolutely awesome.

I tend to enjoy L's on the PC as they appear in their entirety on the screen, where P's are rendered either too small to appreciate or require scrolling.
