Dusk's Twilight

Posted by
Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 28 December 2010 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

View looking west from the Michigan Avenue Bridge (now known as DuSable Bridge, named after Jean Baptiste Point DuSable) of the Chicago River and the buildings that occupy the real estate along that stretch. From the left is the Jewelers Building, Unitrin Tower, Leo Burnett Building, and the United Airlines Building, all on Wacker Drive. Across the river and situated on the right is the Trump Tower. The bridge seen ahead is the Wabash Bridge.

Photo captured December 17, 2010.

Cool shot, I seem to remember Martin Mora taking one from the same position. Incredible how different the two look under differing conditions and time of day.

Beautiful lighting. I love this time of day, when you have the warm glow of the evening lights, but still enough daylight to give you some beautiful reflections and detail - great shot! (The jeweler's Building is fascinating - I posted a shot of it last summer: http://seekthelight.aminus3.com/image/2010-09-03.html )
