What's Old Is New Again #2.....Pictured above is a re-post of a shot that I captured back in 2009. When I first processed this in HDR, I never realized how off-color the photo was. The sky was purple in color, with many of the buildings highlighted with "halos" around them. My reason for re-processing this image was also that a client was looking for a 40" x 60" canvas of this print. And I wanted to make sure that everything was as good as it could be.

Cloud Gate (The Bean) seen in the foreground (left) with buildings along Michigan Avenue: the Smurfit-Stone building (diamond rooftop), Trump Tower (to the right of Smurfit-Stone with the spire). The Chicago Cultural Center is front and center, dwarfed by those buildings that surround it. Barely visible in the upper right-hand corner is the Prudential Building.

Photo taken September 13, 2009.

Bean there before, and what a difference. It just shows how far your processing has progressed over the last couple of years. We all learn as we go along.

Just an after thought, the reflected view in the Bean looks like great beach scene:-)

@Curly: Now that you mention it, it stands out beautifully; like Chicago's Oak Street beach in the summer.

Much better as well, Steven. I'll go back and look at some of my older images from time-to-time and notice something like that that I didn't notice before. It's always good to take a second look at something after putting it down for a while. Great job with the re-editing!
