Shots like this beautiful one make me cringe a little when thinking of the fault line that could spell disaster along this highway. Did that ever dawn on you during your trip?

@Judy aka L@dybug: It dawned on us many times, especially when seeing wire mesh coming down many mountainsides to prevent landslides. This bridge had experienced severe damage in 2000 from seismic activity, if I am not mistaken.
