One thing I never really respected about yesterdays photo was the removal of the arch,
and that was a great move to do there. I spent a lot of time going between yesterdays
photo and that of today, marvelling at your colored pencil look from yesterday and how
it enhances the grandeur of the architecture and that of todays how it enhances the
water and lush greenery and less so the building. There is that nice push to an age
where the same scene as yesterday gives an ancient feel which you do not get with
today's camera no matter how hard one tries it seems. Your colored pencil I really like,
and this version puts me in todays day and age, I just love both, sometimes the pencil
more, especially in other buildings that you have done. As always the very fine photography
you strive for comes through, and we are left with wondrous views, as we tourist our way
through your photos, always as good as a postcard image.

@Phil Morris: Thank you for the wonderful comment, Phil! But in yesterday's photo, the Arch wasn't removed. In that shot I was in between the Arch and the Old Capitol Building, so the Arch was behind me to the east. In yesterday's shot I was looking west. In today's shot, I'm looking east. :-)

I, like Phil, went back, forth, back, forth ... and finally realized you moved. Phil spelled it out very well and we see so much in each image. If I had to choose, I'd lean toward yesterday's pencil version.
