Ginnie Hart from Netherlands

I could live there, Steven, if it had a few windows added. :)

@Ginnie Hart: This is actually the rear of the house. The front of the house has windows and a covered porch.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

In Finland, an oven and a barrel have always been built in the middle of the house. It heated the house much better than the barrel on the outside wall. This photo is successful.

Lovely cabin.
I strange is the lack of a window, but is likely due to a security issue or architectural structure.

I always marvel at the pioneers who had such a hard life. The way they had to cut their trees to build a home, clear the bush, till the land (often by hand), and so much more just to make a life for themselves and their family. I always think of that when I see a log home.
