Heading Toward the Beach

Posted by
Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 10 November 2020 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

In order to reach Schoolhouse Beach, people need to traverse through a dense grove of evergreen trees. The evergreen trees are very thick along the shoreline as can be seen in yesterday's photo.

I went back and forth trying to decide to post this photo in color or black and white. As of yesterday, I changed my mind again. :-)

Photo captured August 17, 2020.

The roots of these trees are impressive and this forest is a nice place to picnic.

Without seeing it in color, I think maybe the B&W brings out the texture of the tree trunks and the dappled light on the ground. Very nice.
