Buzz Barber Shop

Posted by
Steven (Chicagoland, United States) on 20 July 2022 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

Located in downtown Geneva, Illinois, Buzz Barber Shop went through major renovations and in essence, flipped the layout of the barber shop where the chairs used to line the wall on the left. I wanted to use the sepia treatment to give this a vintage appeal.

My apologies for my absence. We listed our house for sale and it seems like we're in and out of the house all day and night due to realtors showing the house to potential buyers.

Photo captured July 2, 2022.

You made a good choice with the sepia which indeed gives a vintage look to this living room as we don't see it at all anymore in France. It is superb.
As for your visits, don't worry, everyone knows the worries that come with a house put up for sale and then moving to another place. Courage, we think of you!

lovely vintage look. perhaps the wood patterned flooring on the left instead of the linoleum squares like under the chairs are slight give-aways. All you need is a Floyd with electric trimmers and perhaps an Opie getting his sidewalls shaved and you would have some real Americana. (Oh, and the sepia is a nice touch too).

I'm in need of a haircut... but 20$ is expensive.
I usually only pay half that amount, but on the other hand, I probably won't have all the perks that this barber offers.

I'm a firm believer on social media to never apologize for not being online. You are going through one of life's most time consuming (and somewhat stressful) 'activities'. We've done that twice since retiring and know full well just how all consuming it is. I have always loved these old style barber shops, ever since I was a kid. I love how so many are beginning to go back or to embrace this vintage vibe. Love your photo -- you've really captured the essence of its appeal.
